Health Care Provider Certification

BLS
This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

ACLS
For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response

PALS
The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills.

Upon your successful completion of the class, you will receive 3 American Heart Association Certification Ecards with a two-year expiration date.

Health Care Provider BLS (CPR)

Price: $65

Trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Includes AED Training and EpiPen Training.

Upon your successful completion of the class, you will receive an American Heart Association Certification Ecard with a two-year expiration date.

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Price: $145

For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response.

What does this course teach?
• Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
• Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
• Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
• Airway management
• Related pharmacology
• Management of ACS and stroke
• Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Price: $145

The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%. Topics include:

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to

• Perform high‐quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) per American Heart Association (AHA) basic life support (BLS) recommendations
• Differentiate between patients who do and do not require immediate intervention
• Recognize cardiopulmonary arrest early and begin CPR within 10 seconds
• Apply team dynamics
• Differentiate between respiratory distress and failure
• Perform early interventions for respiratory distress and failure
• Differentiate between compensated and decompensated (hypotensive) shock
• Perform early interventions for the treatment of shock
• Differentiate between unstable and stable patients with arrhythmias
• Describe clinical characteristics of instability in patients with arrhythmias
• Implement post–cardiac arrest management

Infant CPR

Infant CPR is covered in Basic CPR and First Aid. However we find that some groups just want to focus on infant CPR because they are expecting a baby or work with babies. Infant CPR can be covered separately for a group of pregnant families that just want to know how to help their infant if ever needed. Some midwife clinics require their families to have an infant CPR class because they want to encourage the families they work with to be prepared if ever they need it. Come join us to improve your muscle memory and perfect your technique. Just pay for your supplies, bring a snack, bring a friend with large veins, and come hang out with us in a relaxed environment. We have heard from a very reliable source that Graveyard Shift might even bring us coffees! The best way to become proficient is: to practice, practice, practice. And we know that is the best way to become confident. Come join us!

Cancellation policy:

We require a seven day cancellation notice for class refund or date change. Classes may be canceled  if minimum enrollment of 3 is not met.

IV Certification

Start time: 4:00-7:00 pm Want to feel confident setting an IV? Want to start an IV in no time? Come learn effective methods. Skills taught by a paramedic (that means setting IV's in bumpy ambulances). Receive a CERTIFICATE of completion for your resume.
